It is already August in Toronto and I am totally loving the summers. This month is special for me as its my birthday month 🙂 so I wanted to write about something that is close to my heart.
I have always been fascinated by prints associated with nature and in particular animals like elephant, camels and birds as well. They always make me feel connected to my roots and give me this very raw and authentic feeling 🙂
One such Indian brand that I am passionate about is Global Desi, an India-inspired young, colorful, boho-chic brand with global appeal. Any woman wherever in the world she may be – who loves, lives and breathes the vibrancy of Indian prints and influences will find a little bit of herself in this label. It is a vibrant and free-spirited brand of boho-chic ensembles. On my every trip to India, I definitely visit their store.
I bought this lovely camel-print, mustard shorts from this brand, though it is currently not available they have a dress with same print and they do provide worldwide shipping 🙂
I paired these cute shorts with this white crop top bought recently from Dynamite for $15, flats from Call it spring for $24.99 bought a couple of months back and this chic handbag made out of cloth for Rs. 1500 with beautiful hand embroidery from Suruchi Parakh couture, a fashion designer based out of Gujarat (India). I used an old scarf as a hair band to add to the look.
One can even pair these shorts with a black crop top and boots to give a rather sporty look 🙂
I own quiet a few clothes from this brand and another favorite in my list is this elephant print maxi I bought years ago. Though the maxi is not available any more, there is a skirt with same print still available online.
I really hope that you like the way I have styled this amazing shorts and looking forward to your valuable comments.
